Writer Development Opportunity Call Out

We’re looking for up to three emerging writers to support in developing full-length plays.

We’ll offer bespoke support to help bring your project to life - whatever we can provide, we will!

All we require is a 5-10 page sample of your writing and a description of your idea. The description can be as long or as short as you like.

We’re looking for emerging writers who have not been professionally produced (Fringe is fine). There is no age limit. We encourage application with ideas that are about and/or from the lesser-heard voices of society.

Deadline is Friday 5th April 2024 at 5pm.

FAQs

What do I get out of this? You will receive specialised support from the Beardance team to create a full-length play, from concept to outline to fully-fledged script, culminating in a rehearsed reading. If you are interested, at the end of this process we can discuss next steps for your script either with us or we can support you with other available opportunities.

How long does this last? It depends on your needs and how long you’d like to work with us – each writer will have a bespoke arrangement.

How much does it cost? Nothing - this is a free opportunity.
